methacton community theater

Dear Local Business,

Methacton Community Theater is currently looking for sponsors for our upcoming theatrical season. We would like to offer you the opportunity to join with us in a community partnership. Your sponsorship will show the community your generous support of the arts. We will be happy to feature your business prominently in our communications with our patrons and the community. We hope you will take the time to review our materials, and we look forward to speaking with you in the near future.

What is MCT?:

Methacton Community Theater is a (501(c) 3) non-profit community based theater group who strives to bring low cost family entertainment to the northern and western Montgomery County area. We currently do not have a home, but we do 2 shows a year at Shannondell in Audubon, a summer show at the Perkiomen Valley Middle School East, and a dinner theater offering at the Center Square Golf Club on Skippack Pike in Worcester, PA. We have previously performed in the Methacton School District, but have expanded to perform and service many of the local communities and school districts.

Our History:

Methacton Community Theater was born in 1977. It was created by a group of teachers from the Methacton School District. The theater has produced over 100 musicals, comedies, and dramas for all age groups from the very young to the young at heart. We are happy to provide an artistic outlet for anyone from theater veteran to enthusiastic newcomer. We have been able to feature multiple generations of actors from the same family on the stage at the same time. MCT not only encourages those with acting and singing ability, but also those who have an interest in directing, producing, lighting, sound, stage managing, and much, much more. The community has enjoyed many of our productions including such well known shows as: Annie, The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I, My Fair Lady, Arsenic and Old Lace, Rumors, and many more. Since its inception, MCT has also given a $400 scholarship to a graduating high school student. The student must be planning to continue their education and have been active with Methacton Community Theater at some time now or in the past. This can include acting or singing, production staff duties, a member of the stage crew or orchestra for one of our shows or any of the many volunteer opportunities available with MCT. We are proud to support the students in their pursuit of higher education.
